Shrine of Epiphanies - UE4 Environment
Unreal Engine 4 Sci-fi environment project. Heavily inspired by my all-time favorite shooter: HALO.
Project was developed with the objective of using a single texture (minus decals) and heavy emphasis on modular pieces to construct the entire chamber. Grayboxing was completed in UE4, then exported to 3DS Max for the breakdown of modular assets.
Size of the map was steadily expanded from a small corridor to a large room so as to increase the sense of grandeur and scale of the "shrine". Main focus was to evoke wonder in the player as he/she enters through the main door, views the control room from the corridor, then steps on a light bridge with a high ceiling above and a bottomless pit below as they near the control panel.
